Silvensa is an international Mensa gathering in Bergen: five days of activities, conversations and a New Year celebration.
At international Mensa gatherings, a “mommy letter” traditionally shares everything you need to know before travelling. In the Oxford Economics Global Cities Index 2026, Bergen ranked first in Europe and second in the world for quality of life, behind only Canberra. The study compared 1,000 cities, considering income equality, incomes, housing costs, life expectancy, and recreation and culture.
With mountains on the doorstep, fjords around the corner and a lively cultural scene, perhaps that is not entirely surprising. The weather, naturally, has its own opinions.
